By using high tensile materials in the design of automobile parts, weight can be trimmed. This is because tensile materials provide the same strength as regular steel sheets, even when using thinner materials.
While high tensile materials come with the challenge of lower press formability, their adoption in main structural members such as the frame and arms has expanded thanks to the refinement of their design and forming technologies.
